How does the treatment work?

Botulinum toxin type A is injected in minute quantities to the area requiring treatment. This blocks the nerve impulses to the sweat glands and reduces perspiration. Over the next few days the sweating will gradually reduce and the full effect is noticeable by 2 weeks with up to a 95% reduction of sweating in the area treated.
